1. Who we are
Kit Check (“the App”) is made by Robin Hood Innovations Ltd (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what happens to your information when you use the App. It is the same policy that is shown inside the App under Settings › Privacy policy.
2. What we collect
Nothing. The App has no account, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. We never receive your lists, items, photos or any other information you enter, and the App never sends them anywhere.
3. What stays on your phone
Your lists, items, photos, people and pets, reminders and settings are stored only in the App’s private storage on your phone. Uninstalling the App or clearing its data deletes them. Android’s automatic cloud backup is switched off for the App, so this information is not copied to any cloud service by the App.
4. Camera and photos
The camera is used only when you choose to photograph an item. Photos you pick come from Android’s photo picker, which gives the App access to the photos you select and nothing else. Photos are resized and kept in the App’s private storage. They are never uploaded.
5. Notifications
Reminders are scheduled on your phone and shown as local notifications. Nothing is sent to us or to any server.
6. Sharing, exports and backups
When you share a list, export a PDF or spreadsheet, send a list file or save a backup, the App creates the file and hands it to the place you choose, such as email, messaging or cloud storage. What happens next is between you and that service. A backup can be protected with a password; we cannot recover a lost password.
7. App lock
If you turn on the app lock, Android’s own screen lock (fingerprint, face or PIN) is used. The App never sees or stores your fingerprint, face data or PIN.
8. In-app purchase
Kit Check Pro is sold through Google Play Billing. Google handles the payment; we do not receive your payment details. The Google Play Billing library built into the App can connect to Google to process purchases and send Google diagnostic information about them. It never has access to your lists or items. Google’s handling of this information is covered by Google’s privacy policy.
9. Permissions the App uses
- Camera: only when you choose to photograph an item.
- Notifications: only for reminders you set, and only if you allow them.
- Run at start-up: so reminders you have set still arrive after your phone restarts.
- Fingerprint or face (biometric): only if you turn on the app lock, handled entirely by Android.
The Google Play Billing library adds internet and network state permissions so it can process the Pro purchase with Google. Kit Check does not use them to send your data anywhere.
The App does not ask for location, contacts, microphone or storage access.
10. Children
The App does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.
11. Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be shown in the App and on this page.
